STAR WARS
Yoda Backpack
Vorweg möchte ich sagen, dass ich hohe Anforderungen an alle Star Wars Props und Cosplays habe. Leider kann ich selbst nicht modellieren weshalb ich mich im Internet nach fähigen Kreativen umgeschaut habe, die Yoda Köpfe und Hände anbieten. Bei meiner Recherche bin ich dabei auf den talentierten Phil aus England gestoßen. Dieser bot Resinabgüsse sowie vollgeschäumte PU-Abgüsse seines Yoda Kopfes und der Hände an. Jedoch wollte ich eine bewegliche Yoda Puppe bauen, weshalb diese aus Silikon sein musste. Auf Rückfrage hieß es damals leider, dass er keine Silikonabgüsse anbietet. So habe ich das PU Set von ihm gekauft und für mich einen einmaligen Abguss aus Silikon daraus angefertigt. Falls ihr Interesse an eigenen Yoda Teilen habt, wendet euch bitte an Phil. Er hat außerdem auch noch einige andere interessante Star Wars Projekte.
Die Hände
Die beiden Hände habe ich dann in meinen Formen mit Silikon ausgestrichen und anschließend mit einem Skelett aus Bindedraht versehen, und mit PU-Weichschaum ausgegossen.
Die Hände sind jetzt voll beweglich.
Die Fingernägel habe ich aus Resin gegossen, nachbearbeitet und mit Revell-Farbe angemalt.
Der Kopf
Für den Kopf musste ich etwas mehr Zeit investieren.
Auch hier habe ich meine Form mit Silikon ausgestrichen. Dabei musste ich spezielle Gesichtspartien besonders sorgfältig behandeln.
Das waren insbesondere der Bereich um die Augen und den Mund.
Auch die Ohren durften nicht zu dünn werden.
Nach dem Aushärten des Silikons musste die Form mit Gießharz ausgeschwenkt werden, damit der Kopf einen Formstabilen Schädel bekam.
Der vollständig ausgehärtete Kopf kam dann aus der Form und brauchte noch viel Zuwendung!
Zunächst habe ich die entstandene Trennlinie (dort wo die Formenhälften zusammentrafen) weg gemacht. Sie wurde mit einer kleinen, scharfen Schere abgeschnitten und anschließend mit Silikon
übermodelliert.
Sie ist jetzt fast unsichtbar. :-)
Die Augenhöhlen und den Mund habe ich mit einem Dremel am Schädel freigefräst.
Die Augen
Als Augen sind menschliche Protesen-Augen verbaut. Die hatte mal jemand im Kopf! :-) Sehen ULTRA-Echt aus!
Die Zähne
Das Gebiss ist aus Resin und mit Revell-Farben bemalt.
Die Haare
Yodas Haare waren die schönste Arbeit.
Dazu kaufte ich künstliches Yak-Haar und stach es mit einer dünnen Nähnadel in die Kopfhaut.
Immer 2 Haare auf einmal.
Das war deshalb so ne angenehme Arbeit, weil ich sie jederzeit unterbrechen konnte und nicht 3-4 Stunden Zeit auf einmal haben musste- die hab ich nämlich nur selten :-(
Also konnte ich über 2 Wochen immer mal ne halbe Stunde dran sitzen und irgendwann waren dann alle Haare drin! :-)
Die letzten Haare hab ich übrigens auf der Fahrt zur Star Wars Celebration eingestochen! xD
Allerdings finde ich das künstliche Haar nicht sooo super. Werde mal sehen, ob ich echtes Haar bekomme oder dickeres, weniger gleichmäßig gefärbtes Kunsthaar...
Die Füße
Die Form für die Füße war zum Zeitpunkt des Rucksack-Yodas noch nicht fertig. Das ist aber auch egal, weil der Gute Meister ja ohnehin im Rucksack sitzt und seine Füße ohnehin nicht zu sehen
wären ;-)
Der Torso
Der Torso ist aus GFK laminiert. Der ist leicht und sehr robust!
Die Arme
Bestehen aus Plastikrohren mit Schulter-und Ellenbogengelenken und Schaumstoffüberzug.
Die Bemalung
Da auf Silikon NICHTS haftet außer Silikon konnte ich keine herkömmlichen Farben zum Bemalen nutzen.
Also musste ich auf spezielles 2K-Lackiersilikon zurückgreifen, welches ich mit Silikonfarbe angefärbt habe.
Nachdem der erste Versuch mit Airbrush nicht sonderlich gut aussah, griff ich auf den guten alten Pinsel zurück!
Damit war es viel einfacher und schöner den Yoda zu bemalen.
Alles in Allem bin ich sehr zufrieden mit meinem ersten Bemal-Versuch! Yoda hat jetzt eine schöne, gesunde, grüne Hautfarbe :-)
Die Kleidung
Yoda trägt eine Unterrobe aus braunem Mantelstoff und eine Robe aus echter Wildseide! (Eine filmakkurate Wildseide zu bekommen hat mich MONATE der Suche gekostet!)
Der Schnitt ist sehr einfach und das Nähen seiner Kleidung war dank shinzos genialer Schnittmustererstellbegabung und unserer neuen 1969er Singer-Nähmaschine *stolzsind* kein Problem!
Yodas Halskette war ein Geschenk von shinzo! Sieht aus wie im Film! Vielen Dank mein Schatz! :-D
Den Yoda habe ich dann zusammen mit Jörg und shinzo in den Rucksack eingepasst.
Jörg und ich haben dann die Hände korrekt positioniert und die Finger an die Schultergurte angenäht! Er ist nun also für immer im Rucksack gefangen (Sofern man ihm nicht die Hände abschneidet) !

First of all I would like to say that I have high requirements for all Star Wars props and cosplays. Unfortunately, I'm not very talented in sculpting, which is why I looked around the Internet for capable creatives who offer Yoda heads and hands. During my research I came across the talented Phil from England. This offered resin castings as well as fully foamed PU casts of his Yoda head and hands. However, I wanted to build a flexible Yoda doll, which is why it had to be made of silicone. At the time, when asked, it was unfortunately said that he did not offer silicone castings. So I bought the PU set from him and made a unique silicone cast in a lost mold for me.

The Hands
I casted the two hands with silicone in my molds and then insert a skeleton of binding wire, and poured out with PU soft foam.
The hands are now fully bendable.
The fingernails were made of resin, reworked and painted with Revell paint.
The Head
For the head I had to invest a little more time.
Again, I have cast my mold with silicone.
After the silicone hardened, the mold had to be rotocasted with resin to give the head a shape-retaining skull.
The fully cured head then came out of shape and needed a lot of attention!
First, I removed the resulting dividing line (where the halves of the mold met). I did this by cutting the fins and locally masking the rest with silicone.
It is almost invisible now. :-)
I have milled out the eye sockets and the mouth with a Dremel.
The Eyes
For the eyes, I used old prosthetic eyes. Someone wore them in his head! :-) It looks ULTRA-real!
Die Teeth
Its made of resin and painted with Revell-colors.
The Hair
Yoda's hair was the nicest work to do.
I bought artificial Yak hair and pierced it with a thin Needle into the silicone scalp.
Always 2 hairs at once.
It was such a pleasant work, because I could interrupt it at any time and not have to have 3-4 hours at a time.
So I was able to sit for about two weeks every now and then for half an hour and then at some point all the hair was placed! :-)
Incidentally, I stabbed the last hair on the way to the Star Wars Celebration! xD
However, I think the artificial hair is not sooo great. Will see if I get real hair or thicker, less uniformly colored synthetic hair ...
The Feet
The Molds for the feet were not finished at the time of the Backpack Yoda. But that didn't matter, because the old Jedi-Master sits already in his backpack anyway and his feet would not be
visible anyway ;-)
The Torso
The Torso is made from fiberglass. Lightweight and durable.
The Arms
The Arms were made of some PVC-tubes with shoulder and ellbow-joints. Finally I wrapped them into foam, to give them some thickness.
The Painting
Since nothing sticks to silicone except silicone, I could not use conventional colors for painting.
So I had to resort to special 2K paint silicone, which I have dyed with silicone paint.
After the first test with airbrush did not look very good, I took the good old brush.
It was much easier and better looking to paint it this way.
I'm very happy with my first painting attempt! Yoda now has a beautiful, healthy, green skin color :-)
The Clothing
Yoda wears a brown underskirt and a wild silk robe! (Getting a movie-accurate wild silk cost me MONTHS of searching!)
The sewing-pattern is very easy and the sewing of his clothes was thanks to shinzos ingenious Pattern-making-talent and our new 1969 Singer sewing machine *proudof* no problem!
Yoda's necklace was a gift from shinzo! Looks like in the movie! Thank you my sweetheart! :-D
Finally I put Yoda together with my friend Jörg into the Backpack.
Jörg positioned the hands and fingers onto the right place and sewed them at the shoulder-belts.
Finally I would like to thank my helpers:

- Jörg, who lent me the molds of his self-skulpted Yoda. I didn't work with
